As this day began, the Smoky Mountain skies were overcast. There hasn’t been a lot of rain in Gatlinburg, or anywhere in Tenneessee, for the month of April. Today, however, has been damp and cool with intermittent rain activity. We just experienced a 5 minute downpower, and now the sun is trying to break through the clouds. Some of the weather stations are forecasting possible frost in the higher elevations tonight.
