I40 Open
After 6 months of detours, I40 at the Tennessee/North Carolina line is open to traffic. Aside from rock removal and repair to the road, the work crews were able to make some improvements to this stretch of road. Thank you to the work crews who worked 24/7 to reopen this vital stretch of road.
Road Reopening Update
Interstate 40 at the Tennessee/North Carolina line, which has been closed for months due to a rockslide, should be reopening to traffic by April 27th.
Great Smoky Mountains National Park
This week all guests can enter any national park free of charge. The Great Smoky Mountains National Park has always been free and will NEVER have a cover charge. Some of the land that was donated for the national park was done so with the contingency that the park would always be free for all guests to enjoy with their families. The Great Smoky Mountains National Park is also the most visited national park in the United States.

Ober Gatlinburg Ski Alert
Thanks to the snowy winter in Gatlinburg, the ski resort has extended their ski season. The slopes will be open on 3/19, 20th, 21th, 26th, 27th, and 28th.
